i really Like the Hornady FMJ-BT

i ordered 6000 18mo ago and still have about 3000 of em left

Rule3... I'd look for those if ya can find a godd $$ on Bulk, Not necessarily 6k of em, but 500 and 1000 bulk... usualy Midway has em...

Pulled, no-name, mixed manufacturer bullets with an occasional different weight bullet in the bag are priced higher than new Hornady FMJs!!!

Get a case of Hornady and split it with some friends if you have to. 8.3¢ per quality bullet delivered is hard to beat! I'm on my third case since discovering these bullets and I'll never go back to used bullets now.

Yes that's what I have now for "blasting" 55 gr bullets. I like them also. Even better when I bought a gazillion of them ( yes I counted) for a lot cheaper.:)

FYI, Berry Mfg sells .224", 55 grain, Full Metal Jacketed bullets.

Oddly, they are listed under the "Jacketed Rifle Bullet" section of Berry's web site. Berry also sells 30 cal, 150 grain, FMJ bullets.

It gets confusing sometimes when companies known for their plated bullets have FMJ also. The links to xtreme bullets also list the 223 bullets under FMJ but are they really??:)

I used to buy from Berrys some time ago until I got a batch of 9mm bullets that were all over the place as to weight and length, Plated used to be a deal but they are as much as regular fmj bullets now. The company took them back for a full refund so no problems there. I do like the black plastic boxes though, use them for all kinds of storage;)

Berry sells Hornady 55 grain 22 caliber FMJ bullets. I would think they are about as jacketed as you can get and not plated.

I didn't realize Berry's was selling jacketed bullets from Hornady. When I saw Berry's I thought you were talking about their bullets, not a resale.

I bought 2000 55 Gr FMJs form Berrys about 4 years ago when they were around $65 per K. They loaded and shot better than the Winchester ones I had previously. I still have a box of 500. I wonder if they are Hornadys? I'll compare them with the 1k of Hornadys I have. They were not advertised as such though.

Yes I believe they are, That is where/when I bought mine. I remember they stated they were not allowed to disclose the name brand.
I do not have a labeled box of Hornady to compare but I did label those as such.
You will know better than I.

Not a bad price these days, unfortunately.

The Berrys I have are not the same as the Hornadys I have.

Just received a load of the Hornady 55 FMJBT from Powder Valley. Only took 5 days. Really nice looking bullets.

Yep, real nice looking bullets. Looking at the bases I can see why they shoot better than most 55 Gr FMJ stuff.

Heck, I just pushed the button for the Hornadys at Midway.

Since they are "limited quantity item" the little $10 off promotion does not apply:(

So as usual I ended up buying more "stuff" just so I could use the coupon.

Yes, they have me hook, line and sinker.

They got me with the same thing. I ordered 1000 50 grain Speer TNT's thinkin $10 off makes it cheaper. I was able to use the $20 off code after I browsed a little more.

I was at the Cabela's just up the road from me today, they had boxes of 55 FMJ on the shelves, about 20, 100 rd. boxes. Speer bullets, green boxes.
