Hi THRers,

I am looking for a lightweight 10" quad rail for an AR15 pistol. It has to have a round opening for a Noveske Pig KX3, KX5 type muzzle attachement. I think these length rails are referred to as "Specter" rails not quite Midlength.

Thanks,
Ed

I'm a smooth/modular rail guy myself (love the Sampson Evolution and have used Troy products in the past) but recently went with a quad on a pistol length (SBR) build and was really impressed with the American made UTG Pro for fit and finish and weight (the regular Chinese made UTG products are OK for finish and are generally overbuilt/heavy). It is oval opening to keep the width as narrow as possible but I think it would fit a Pig. I'd be happy to take measurements for you.

+1 on MI, I have the SSG2 and its ability to put the rails where ever you want and not where you don't want is awesome. Really lets you customize it to your exact liking. But I am a fan of MI in general though I've only had the SSG2 handguard. Be aware that it is very slim.

No problem, EdLaver. Midwest Industries makes some really good stuff. I've used a good bit of their stuff now, and I honestly have never been unimpressed. Prices are good, quality is good, and by all accounts, customer service is good.

not sure about the pig, but Centurion and Daniel Defense are some of the best quad rails around. I've owned a DD and regret selling it. I currently have a Centurion 10". It is light and solid. Centurion is the best ive owned.
