Looking for a Firing Pin for a pre-2002 S&W 617-4

I've got this pistol in my hands currently, which needs a new firing pin, but I keep striking out with my regular suppliers.

Bought a current version hoping it would be similar, but no dice, the design change was not subtle at all.

Brownells struck out on the old (and now apparently discontinued) version, as did Numeric, Midway, and a dozen other more obscure places.

I've got a call and an email in to S&W directly, but since they won't even answer their damned phones anymore, there's no telling when (or even if) they'll call me back. And since it's been discontinued, I'm guessing it's not going to be something they'll have in stock anyway.

So, here I am, appealing to the part hoarders of the world, in the hopes that someone has a spare firing pin for a pre-2002 S&W 617-4 that they'd be willing to part with.

I can probably fabricate a new one if it comes to that, but I hate to spend 12 hrs or more on the machines cutting one from scratch when a new one doesn't cost more than $15-$20.

It's just a matter of finding one to buy.

I can post pictures if anyone needs reference, but that will have to wait until tomorrow evening.

I'm pretty sure the S&W Parts Dept would have one if you called them.

I've been trying to call them for better than a week now.

They won't answer their damned phone.

I leave a voice message, and get nothing.

I send email, I get nothing.

The operator won't even pick up.

I dunno what's going on.

Maybe I smell funny? . . . . . .

Finally got a hold of S&W, really was discontinued, no one has it in stock.
