I came into some cash recently and want to buy a new 9mm. I reload 9mm, so I want to stick to that caliber. I currently own a Glock 19 and Beretta 92FS.

I've been considering a Glock 34, Beretta PX4, S&W M&P and Kahr CW9. I've owned most of the Glock 9mms, an XD and a CZ 75b. I like the idea of a 9mm 1911, but they are pricey. I shoot IDPA matches occasionally.

I'm looking for something different and fun to shoot. Suggestions?

I would second the Browning Hi-Power. I think everyone should own at least one.

Something in a 9mm, different and also fun to shoot. Maybe something in a single stack format. How about a Walther P38/P1, a Star Model B, a S&W Model 39, an H&K P7, or a SIG Sauer P5? Lots of different 9mm pistols out there, just a matter of finding something other than the typical Glock, Beretta, or CZ that you've already tried.

Hi-Powers are nice. It will prob. need a trigger job and if you are like me you will have to modify or replace the hammer on it. The standard hammer bites my hand.

A PM7 is on my short list. Of course like an idiot I have waited untill prices for new ones have sky rocketed. I usually like to by new but may settle on a nice used one.

I am also interested in a CZ. The CZ 75B SA.

You may also like a 1911 style pistol in 9mm. A longslide 9mm would be a fun gun to shoot. Real fun.

I know you've posted this in the handgun section, but how about a Hi-Point 995 carbine? It's the most fun 9mm I have.

Just got back from the range with my SIG 226 it was, as usual, a beautiful thing. Next week my Crtimson Traces will be in and then it will be even MORE fun! :)

After shooting my EMP I would have to say GO FOR IT. Handles like a good compact should but the thing I have noticed is it shoots like a full sized gun. It is just a joy to shoot and it looks really cool too

3" Springfield Armory EMP SAO 9mm

...

+3 for the SA EMP 9mm 1911 9+1

A great point and shoot, up close or at distance accurate, dependable, shooter..

1200 flawless rounds with mine so far..

Everyone, so far, that I have let shoot it, has come away with a huge grin on their face.. male and female.
