I just moved to New Olreans Courtesy of my company and wanted to know if there are any good gun stores in the area? I went into Gretna Guns last week. There selection was so-so, but the fact that they do not allow CHL holders into their establishment is annoying. Kind of not beleiving in a product they sell. :what: Also their prices ranged from a little to really high. Anyway if anyone knows of a gunstore in the area, as well as a good indoor range please let me know.

Puglia's Sporting Goods on Veterans is where I prefer to go. Go upstairs. They mostly cater to the hunting market, but they will order anything you need. Nice folks.

Shooter's Club out in Metairie on David Drive caters to the 'self defense' market. Good folks as well.

Gun prices in the area are high because people are buying guns like crazy, and the market will tolerate it.

They have an indoor range on Hickory where I shoot all the time. It's the best indoor range in the area. Drop me a message off line and I will hook you up with directions &c.

They didn't bar them but didn't allow us to wear our loaded weapons inside. To me that bars me from the establishment. They said if someone walked in with a gun on their hip they might draw down on them. It was of course ok for them to wear their guns in cheap holsters that sagged :barf:. It was the first place I've ever been that sold firearms, taught a CWP/CHL class, and then didn't allow those it had taught the right to carry. What was even funnier was that they had to buzz you in, but next door there was an antique shop that was open to the gun store, it didn't have a buzzer! :banghead:
