i'm in the market for a handgun. i have my eyes set on a glock 17 or glock 22. i like the 1911 .45apc but maintain around 15 rounds per clip. as far as accuracy and performance, how are the glocks? i might use it as a side arm for deer hunting. what would you guys recommend?

I own a G17.. Great Gun.. But A sidearm for deer hunting? if you want protection from mountain cats or bears your gonna need something bigger in caliber Lol.

G20, 10mm. Good enough for multi-use and wildeness protection. 180 gr Double taps will give you near 41 mag performance in a Commander sized semi-auto.

My G19 is almost boring in its accuracy, reliability, dependability but I'm not so sure that a 9mm pistol is the ideal hunting companion  I would go w/ some bigger -- perhaps 10 mm or 45 acp out of the G20 or G21/G21sf

i agree and i prefer the 9mm model glocks over any other glocks out there, the 17 and the 19 being my favorite. they are outstanding weapons and plenty accurate, i can hit shotgun shells off a fence with my dads at 10yds all day long. i don't like the factory sights as they are plastic but i get the trijicon 3 dot night sights and that remidied that problem. they are one hell of a reliable gun and you should never have any problems out of it.

i have my mind set on the .40 cal glock 22. buddy has a glock 17 9mm and rearly would it jam yeah the sights are the only thing i don't like, if i'm correct i heard these things can shoot (operate) under water.

also for the 15 shot g22, is that just the clip or is it a specific model that can hold the 15 rounds? is there a major difference between the g22 and g23 plus a c model for each? (found the g23 a bit shorter and can be converted to the g19)

ok the whole "shooting under water thing" when are you ever gonna need to do that? yes they can but you have to change out parts to make it work.

the magazine not the "clip" is what holds the rds and that is what determines the capacity of the gun, mags for glocks are cheap and easy to find.
go to the glock website and it will give you all the different models and the dimensions.
