Looking for a new 40SW

I have a Glock Gen3 model 23 with a stock trigger that's a hair over 5#; advertised is 5.5#. That's fairly light for a combat weapon and around my neck of the woods they're ~$529.99 before taxes are added.

I like Glock triggers; you may not. Don't know about CA legalities since I live in a gun ownership friendly state. Glock does make 10 round magazines for the model 23 as they do most of their guns.

CZ 75B or S&W M&P 40, depending on if you want all steel and a hammer or striker fired polymer.

It's difficult to recommend a gun when we don't know the intended purpose of the gun. Is this a range toy? Home defense? CCW?

XDm 3.8 Compact in .40 SW $589.00 online. I'm really impressed with mine (9mm). I think theres a CA version.

Hard ti pass up the XDs and XDms with that mag rebate they have going on. I paid $519 plus tax for XDm and love it. It's my favorite .40. (also have a Glock 22 and a Sig P229)

I bought the last run of the gen-- 3 model 23 pistols with the dull finish that's on them. This one matches the accuracy level of my Glock 26 , at 50' off a rest. I can see why the FBI picked it as their duty weapon.

The Ruger SR40c is California legal and can be found under $400 with two magazines. In CA I believe the gun comes with two 9 round magazines rather than the 10 and 15 mine came with. It's a great shooting pistol, accurate and reasonable recoil with good ergonomics. Seems like a great deal for the money, and made in the USA too.
