Looking for a picture of EVERY round made.

Hey, im looking for a picture of just about as many rounds pictured as possible for size comparisons. Does anyone have such an image or can you lead me to one? Odd ball cartridges included would be nice to like the 358 Winchester for example.

there's a book called "cartridges of the world" that'll get you most of the way there

Get a copy of Cartridges of the World. It will give you a picture, along with measurements and basic loading data for almost every cartridge ever made.

I found this one as well, it has 358 win on it. This looks to be related to the book mentioned above.

The second pic is better but neither of them come anywhere close. OP, your best bet is to get the book.

Just an FYI, but they don't even come close! There have been literally thousands of different cartridges since the introduction of the first metallic cartridges, sometime in the 1830s I think (might even be earlier). You won't find pics of most, let alone anything uniform enough to compare dimensions. I wish you the best, but it will be a daunting, frustrating task.

Just FYI, I realize that those pics don't show every cartridge ever made. That would be a poster about 9 feet wide at regular scale, lol. He was looking for "as many rounds pictured as possible for size comparisons."

Also... George Hoyem's "History and Development of Small Arms Ammunition". Four volumes.
Another great source is Ken Howell's "Designing and Forming Custom Cartridges".

That`s a project that you should undertake. Do you know how many different
"rounds" are made around the world ?

Asking for the finished product, done by others, just so you can "compare" sizes is really off the wall.

Not trying to be nasty here but like I said, some projects should be done in house.

Might check your local Library for books as well .
