Oh I'm looking at getting the RCBS Cowboy die for Magtech brass 12 ga shot shells. Now the die needs a 1-1/4" x 12 tread in the press. RCBS Rock Chucker will use it but my Lee won't since the tread in the press is 1-5/64"-16 TPI Thread. My other possible option is the Hornady Lock-N-Load Classic as it also has a removable sleeve that is threaded but no idea what the size of tread is. According to RCBS this die is supposed to work with several presses with inserts. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The Rockchucker is a great press but so is the Lee Classic cast press and for a lot less money. I would buy either but if cost is a consideration you won't hurt yourself at all with the Lee press.

Thanks guys and asked Lee Precision of they had a single stage press that would take that size die. There answer was no. Oh will I will start shopping then. Thanks again.

What Lee press do you use now?
The press linked in post #2 will use those dies by removing the adapter that accepts the 7/8"-14 dies. The guy you talked with at Lee must not have understood or made himself clear.

.

He never mentioned the Classic Cast as I asked what the tread was on the Lee Breech Lock press which is different and will not work with 1-1/4" x 12 tread Die. In all honesty though a few minutes ago I did get a response from some one else at Lee's that did say the Classic Cast would fill my needs. I have ordered one as I don't need a set at all.

My current press are the Lee Classic Turret, Lee Hand Press, Lee Reloader Press and recently sold two Lee Pro 1000 presses. I'm simply looking for something cheaper than the RCBS Rock Chucker that would work with this particular die which I now have on the way. I looked at several used RC and still got the new Lee press cheaper. Besides I have a Lee plate setup with a couple of extra top plates that I won't even have to drill.
