I'm wanting another 9mm and am considering a few options. This will not be intended to be a carry piece, but can be in the right configuration. The ones that have made the short list are:

CZ 75B Compact PCR - This is the one that could potentially share carry duty with my P229 Legion. I like the slim profile of the non-rail frame, it fits my hand well and being alloy is relatively light weight for an all-metal pistol;

SIG P226 Extreme - Wonderful G10 grips, SRT trigger kit, night sights and an all-around great feeling and ergonomic package. I'm fond of classic SIGs, and I'm the most familiar with their manual of arms. but never owned a P226 before, so this would be a welcome addition;

Beretta 92X - Non-performance model. Never had a Beretta before, but have held a few. I like the 92X the best between the 92FS, LE, and M9A3. The red front sight just grabs your attention, and the action is smooth as silk. It might be time to add my first Beretta to the collection.

So between the three of these, my favorite just from manipulating them in the shop is the 92X, but looking to draw from everyone's experience with the above three choices. I figure I can't go wrong with any of them, and if the shop sells out of one or two, that narrows the choices considerably LOL.

I have versions of all of the above. You can't go wrong with any of them. The one that fits your hand best is probably the best one for you.

I have two PCR's but have no experience with the other guns you mentioned. PCR's are very accurate and run very well. PCR's are my primary carry.

What do you want to do with it? Just a range toy or competitions or collecting?

Mostly range toy and possibly home defense, although I would carry the PCR. Currently have a P229 Legion that does all the above, but it's a little chunky for an EDC.

Mmm yes, the M11-A1. The shop doesn't have any in stock, but the distributor has Nitron and Army variants. I'd have to special order one, but that's also in the running. Although, I've had plenty of SIGs, never a CZ or Beretta so I'm thinking of trying something new.

OK, so I decided I really wanted a new CCW so I won't have to carry my Legion. That narrowed it down a bit.

I decided to get the CZ 75D PCR. These things are like unicorns around here, and I didn't want to pass up the chance to get one, so I jumped at the chance. Picking it up tonight.

Good Choice! I have owned 5 various CZ handguns over the last 10 years. 1000's & 1000's & 1000's of rds fired and never ever once did I have a failure of any kind. Just incredible firearms.

I don't care for DA pistols, but of what you listed, I would choose the Sig. never messed with a CZ, and have had a hate-hate relationship with the M9 since I was issued one in the mil.

Right choice. Hope you enjoy it. My CZs have been fantastic.

I just returned from the first range trip with the new PCR. 50 rounds of AE 115gr and 10 rounds of HST 124gr. All I can say is, this is the best shooting semi-auto I ever owned.

This target was the first few mags of AE, shooting DA-to-SA and de-cocking, at 10 yards. The flyers are me getting used to the DA/SA transition at first. Settled down real nice after a couple of mags, but the grips are just a little thick for my hand:

I'll be putting on TFX Pro sights soon, as the sights are IMHO the weakest aspect of this pistol. Overall, extremely pleased! This gun is very smooth, comfortable, natural-pointing and a joy to shoot. This will certainly not be my last CZ.

Great choice! And you're right; CZs of any kind can be hard to locate some time! Was looking for a long time for a P01 and then while buying a Ruger SR9c at a gun shop I came across one, along with a P06, a P07, and a Kadet .22 conversion! Came back a week later and got the P01 and the Kadet conversion.

Overall, extremely pleased! This gun is very smooth, comfortable, natural-pointing and a joy to shoot. This will certainly not be my last CZ.

Kind of knew you'd be happy with it! Last year I picked up a P07 and have been equally pleased with it!
