But not if you develop a flinch or other bad habits to compensate for the recoil during practice. Then I would argue one is giving up more than they are gaining by shooting magnum ammunition.
In my opionion there is not much out there that can not be killed with a standard 12ga slug - specially the Brenneke slugs.
