Looking for CCDW option for my wife

BSA1,

I can't speak for the OP but in my wife's case the trigger on a DA revolver is much more difficult to reach than a semi-auto's trigger.

She has a Taurus 85 .38 5-shot, and I put extra thin after market grips on it, and she still struggles with the trigger on that thing.

Edited to Add:

Everyone says "the best gun for a female is a snub nosed 38 revolver" but I call BS on that, from what I've seen this type of gun is more difficult to use (from the ergonomics standpoint anyway) than just about anything else

David4516,

Yep we had the same problem with my wife also. We finally discovered the perfect gun for her is the Colt Police Positive Special. The slightly smaller frame and the V mainspring makes all the difference. The Detective Special is the same gun only with 2" barrel. The reason I didn't mention it is cause it is out of production and only on the used gun market.

Might also want to look at the XDs 9mm. That's the compact single stack 9mm.

I've have and or tried just about all of the compact 9s. I really dislike the double action trigger on most of them. I have found that the XDs's trigger is pretty good and most women who try it find the distance from the backstrap to the trigger shorter and easier to reach. Just a suggestion.
