I can't speak for the OP but in my wife's case the trigger on a DA revolver is much more difficult to reach than a semi-auto's trigger.
She has a Taurus 85 .38 5-shot, and I put extra thin after market grips on it, and she still struggles with the trigger on that thing.

Everyone says "the best gun for a female is a snub nosed 38 revolver" but I call BS on that, from what I've seen this type of gun is more difficult to use (from the ergonomics standpoint anyway) than just about anything else
