Ok, I have just come into posession of a Beretta AL-2 (or AL2) 20ga 2 3/4 fixed IC semi-auto. It's a very lightweight feeling gun and comes to my shoulder easily and just points naturally. Tried 3 rounds and no problems firing or ejecting, seems like a decent shotgun possibly to use for trap/skeet when I can find a good place to try that sport.

So my questions are as such, is this an earlier version of the 303 or 390 series? Can I use the A390 owner's manual or will I need to find the specific one for the AL2 (the 390 is on the Beretta website). Anyone have any idea what barrel options there were for this gun, it has a 26" VR which is nice but I'd love to use a screw-in choke system if possible.

Really need to get this thing stripped down and cleaned before doing anything else, so a breakdown/instructions would be the first step.

Thoughts?

AL-2 is a 303 for any practical reason. It is NOT a 390, nor a 391 design type. Any AL-2, or 301-2-3 is WAY better than the 390/391/3901 IMHO. That said, the only trouble I have ever had with any of the beretta autoloaders' is not getting enough time to shoot them.
Send you a PM
