My name is chuckles and I'm a SIGaholic. I currently own 5 SIGs. P229 .40, a P226ST .40, a P226R 9MM, a P220ST .45acp and a P232SL .380. They are the best handguns you can get, IMHO, and the disease of SIGaholicism will ravage your cash flow but you will be a happy "sufferer". Any SIG will be great for you.:D :D

Sig must be doing something right, considering I have gone exclusively all sig (excluding the AR15).

SIGs are indeed the best.

The P226 is my favorite handgun period, but you really can't go wrong with any of them. I really like my SP 2009......good balance and pretty darn concealable and a first-rate trigger. On the smaller end, I like the P245 and P239 quite a bit.

I have three -- P226, P229 and P220ST -- and if I absolutely had to sell all but one (with all logical considerations aside, like ammo availability, etc.), I'd probably stick hard and fast to the P229 in .357Sig...it's my favorite of the classic P-series Sig family, and I've sampled most of them (though not P210, P230, P232 or P245). I have a factory .40S&W barrel for it as well, as it's nearly as much fun...nearly.

I have a P226 that I'm really fond of. The best shooting 9mm imo, The SA trigger is very smooth and predictable. The decocker is the smoothest also of the DA/SA guns out there. Better decocker than the USP, and Beretta guns which feels like the hammer is falling when decocked.

I dont think my P226 has ever jammed *knock on wood*, cant say that about my 1911's, though they rarely jam also.

1 word of advise, dont drop the gun with the action open. It wont work then

Own three: 220, 225 and 229.

Perhaps the best eulogy to SIG is the number of negative references on this board. I trust you won't find that many.

Have a 225 and five mags. Had a 228 and four or five mags. Had a 226 and ten mags. One thing I never had was a malfunction. With any ammo (a few thousand rounds). Ever.

I have a226 and 245. Great guns. Get the 245. Shoots like 220. Conceals like a 239. .45 will get it done for ya.........
