+1 on date-marking components. I have powder from 1980 still around.
I can recall paying $6.80/thousand for primers, and 16.00 / thousand for .45 cast bullets. This would have been in the late 70's.
(OT) A couple of weeks ago I saw a cretin trying to sell .380 ammo for $70/box. I had to ask why, got the answer I expected - basically "it's the american way to make a profit whenever you can, as much as you can, from whomever you can". No point in arguing with fools, I left it at that with him.
