Lost primers

I was reading the posts when I came across yours. It's extremely rare for a primer to fly off the bench and remain in this universe. Typically, and this has been verified by several prominent astro physics experiments, that a wayward primer, once it leave the bench, will 99% of the time fly directly into an alternate universe. Only when a reloader in the alternate universe loses one of his primers, will it pop back into our universe.

Glad you weren't injured.

Thanks Mugsie, I needed a good laugh. Just found out a good friend died of a heart attack the other day. Hate that I didn't find out sooner but our phone is out and waiting on a replacement part to fix it. I really need to check my FB messages more often.

I could just see someone vacuuming with a Electrolux Ergorapido Vacuum and it sucking up a Magnum Rifle primer and it goes kaboom!!!! That would be allot of yelling after you put your heart back in your chest and call the insurance company to find out if your home owner insurance will cover your $18,000 vacuum you just destroyed with a primer.
If you paid $18,000.00 for a vacuum cleaner my bet is you of your significant other are not the ones doing the vacuuming.
By the same token there is a good chance your time is too valuable to be reloading your own ammo.

That is the world's most expensive vacuum cleaner and I still think when I see the price, "who in their right mind pays that much for a vacuum cleaner they have more money than they know what to do with"

Kyung, sorry to hear about your friend.

Thanks Mugsie, I am glad that he did finally get his wish before he died and have kids. He has two beautiful daughters that are still in their teens that will miss him very much. The county in which he lived his entire life is also feeling the loss do to there is no one qualified to replace him to do the jobs he did. As many lives that he saved over the years in his work, I just wish there had been someone there at the time to return the favor. He loved to hunt and shoot but rarely had the time due to his many jobs most that were volunteer work. He was a member of FEMA, head of PEMA, the medical officer for the county sheriffs office, an EMT, and member of the volunteer fire dept and head of the county rescue squad which I myself was on for six years. Sorry bout your friend.

By my count, I have pretty much found every single primer I have dropped, maybe more. :). Albeit, it's usually months later.

Right around the time this latest primer shortage got into full swing, 2 more turned up while cleaning under the fridge.

When they're small CCI primers, I have no idea what kind they are. The Winchesters are easier to identify. :)

Thanks. Even after the floor has been swept and mopped multiple times since I deprimed my 40's Mom still found one on the floor yesterday. At least it was not the baby finding it. She seems to find everything she is not supposed to find.

I reload over carpet. I've lost a few primers that never came back. I went and bought a $30 vacuum cleaner that I only use in my reloading area. I make sure to vacuum when nobody else is home because I know if something went "pop", that would be the last firearm related thing in the house if the old lady heard it...

You guys take the time to search for ONE primer?!?

I think I'm doing something wrong...
Except for the one live primer I lost all the rest have been fired primers that have bounced out of the catcher thing. I look for any that miss their target. I don't want to step on them in my bare feet or have the baby find one and try to eat it.

The only way to find a spent primer is to remove your shoes and stocks and stomp around in the dark, you'll find it immediately! It doesn't work in the light, or with shoes on, you have to be bare footed.

Now if it's a live primer, I'm on my hands and knees looking for that sucker. I want to know where every one is.

If I get down on my hands and knees I might not be getting up again.
