Thanks. The blog is a relatively new endeavor; just something I thought I'd do as a fun project and to share what little knowledge is floating around in my brain.

9mm 1911 is a great gun.

What I didn't post were the groups I shot one handed. I'm a horrible one hand shot but managed to keep 4 out of 5 in the black. Granted, it was 10 yards on a 50 ft target but still better than I usually shoot.

I like the STI better than some of the other offerings in the same price range.

I also looked at the Kimber Custom Stainless Target in 9mm. My Spartan has a much smoother and cleaner trigger than the Kimber I saw.

9mm 1911 is a great gun.

Agreed. My RIA 5-inch 1911 in 9mm is a wonderful gun. If I want to shoot 500 rounds in an afternoon, that is about the only gun I'd ever consider taking along with me.
