You got my curiosity on that one. I think a 12 shooting single action would be a plinker’s dream. I’ll need to avoid that, since one of the reasons I shoot so accurately is how long it takes to reload a cap and ball. Gotta stay honest, or I’ll end up like one of the normals showing up for their once a year range visit, putting a shotgun pattern all over paper and calling it good enough. I can kinda relate to being suspicious of new fangled repeaters that seem to encourage wasted ammo!
Sorry, man! I see the brass frame version around, but the steel frame could be a lot of fun and is harder to find. They’ll backorder, and that may be the only way to get one now. I meant no offense.
I was about to place a backorder of my own, but decided on the sheriff version that was available now.
armoredman, I realize this item is probably not what you are wanting but just in case here is a 1858 Sheriff in SS. They say they have one in stock. I’ve purchased from them before and had zero problems. “If” you are interested, I would call them first just to make sure their website count is up with actual availability. It’s a nice looking revolver but may not be of interest to you. https://www.jedediah-starr.com/closeup.asp?cid=13&pid=2839&offset=6
