Range is up to 150yds...no way an animal could move in time to matter. I doubt it would make any difference if it was 1k yds away, there just isn't enough time to move (a few thousandths of a second ain't cuttin' it!).
My son shot his first deer using my .270 Win Model 700 using reduced recoil rounds. The rounds were 130 grain BTSP's and when he took his first shot at 225 yards in an open field he missed...shot over the back of the deer....the sound was so quiet that none of the deer even knew they were being shot at. He refocused himself and shot again and dropped the deer with one shot. The deer never moved. I couldn't believe they didn't hear the shot. The reduced recoil rounds from Remington were like shooting a .243 as far as recoil goes, but they maintain the same point of impact as a regular round at 200 yards or so they advertised; in our testing at the range, the round performed as advertised...I was expecting a little less performance as far as knock down went, but was pleasantly surprised with the one hit kill of the round. Give them a try...I don't think you will be disappointed.
