I have Carnauba Red, Orange Magic, and a brand new Lyman 4500 with heating element. Which lube should I load it with first? I'm going to buy more Red later but I want to use these two sticks to get it filled up and start sizing. Does it matter if I have two lubes of different hardness in the sizer at the same time? I'll be lubing 38 special and 45 colt bullets.

So it doesn't matter which I use first as long as I get the temp right for the lube I'm on at that time? I just didn't know if it was easier going from a harder lube to a softer one or maybe the other way around.

I mix and match my loobs. I buy up odd lots at gun shows, yard sales and such. Averages at $1.00+/- each hollow stick. I use the old Midway adjustable heaters under three different Loobsizers, I can set my temp for what ever is in the machine as I go. I shoot revolver almost exclusively with my hand cast boolits. Loob don't seem to make much difference as long as it's there.

In my VERY unscientific opinion, orange magic seems a tad harder than CR lube. To be honest I don't think you'd tell the difference in getting either warmed up though.
It's not like comparing BAC vs Blue Angel.

I think CR & o magic are pretty close in melt temps....we're lubing a lead boolit, not launching the shuttle:D

I used a few sticks of orange magic & was very pleased with it's properties. Then I found White Label & the price difference made it a no-brainer.

Ok here's another question. I have some .380 bullets I've already tumble with 45-45-10. Can I use the lubrisizer on these to lube the grease groove or will the new lube not stick?
