Seems there two ways to do this:
1. Dry type powder lube that Lyman (and pershaps others) offers.
2. Using a neck brush or q-tip to apply small amount of case lube.

I'm leaning toward the q-tip application of regular case lube.

What works the best for you?

Both methods have their followers and both work. I use a spray lube and enough gets in the neck to do the job. I also run a carbide expander for the cartridges that I load in volume.

If you use the q-tip method, you may only have to every 3rd, 4th or 5th one. Some lube will stay on the expander ball between sizings.

I use the RCBS nylon neck brush with lube sprayed on the brush for every 3 or so cases. I don't have to lube 223, 30/06 or 308 cases, but the 270 Win. with the longer neck needs the lube.

I got a new eye shadow applicator from my wife to lube the inside of the case mouths in .308 and .270 cases. It is a too large for smaller calibers so I too use a QTip for those.

I put them in a plastic container some of the necks are pointing up. Give them all a spritz, shake around and spritz again. Done.

Best by far that I've used is RCBS's Nylon Neck Brushes. Either spray case lube or roll the brush on a case lube pad to pick up lube. One application of lube will lube the necks of several necks. Brushes come in sizes for different calibers. Buy the separate accessory RCBS handle. I run sized cases in my vibratory tumbler with corn cob for about 30 minutes to remove all lube. Mica and other dry lubes just don't work for me.

I use Dillon Case Lube, a liquid spray on, but I apply it to the inside of the neck with a Q tip, well actually I use the Q tip for the entire case, helps the lube stretch really, really far.

I stand a bunch up in a plastic ammo tray, give 'em a spray or two with my Lee lube and alcohol, make sure a little gets in the neck. Place a second ammo tray over the top, turn 'em upside down, take the first tray off, another shot for the bottom of the cases, let dry, size and de-prime.

I used Pam cooking spray and a hospital bedpan. Toss a hundred cases in spray pam at it for about 2 seconds, shake it around s lot, and start loading. For .270 I spray for about 3 or 4 seconds. I also spray 3-4 seconds when forming 7-30 cases from 30-30. Enough gets into the necks to keep me going. Do Far Only 1 stuck case and that was on .357mag using carbide...I now lube for carbide dies as well. I then tumble for about 15 minutes to remove the pam from the cases.

I put my cases in the tumbler after resizing.
Yep.

Deprime then off to the tumbler for a couple hours for cleaning. When dry, spray lube, resize and then off to the tumbler to remove lube. Store them away so they are all ready for my next reloading session. No chance of any fouling.

I use m dies for expanding my cases to do away with neck lube. I take care to not get any lube in my case necks.

I have been using the q-tip, and then I took them all and took a few q-tips soaked in alcohol and swabbed them out. I was amazed out how much color from the cleaning media I picked up.

I use the RCBS neck brush every 2-3 cases (figuring some lube stays on the expander in the die). It has worked fine but I hate the process. (This is for .223.) I also use the RCBS lube and lube pad.

I dislike the lube pad pretty substantially. Unfortunately given the size of the lube container I *might* need to buy some more before I die.

One Shot sounds intriguing.......

You guys using the q-tip method: Any concern with fowling the powder?

Seems like just a light film would not be an issue.

When using hornady unique, there will be a little lube inside in the lower portion of the neck that will not come off in a vibratory tumbler. Dillon spray does not seem to do this.

I like my method much better than spraying. I emptied a bottle of lee case lube in an empty water bottle and filled to the top with denatured alcohol. Poke a little hole in the lid, grab a large glass jar, squirt a little in, just enough to roll around and get the jar walls wet. Dump the brass in, shake/swirl it up and dump it out to dry.

This method seems to get a little lube in the necks every time. At the rate I'm using it, I suspect I could get 40-50 k 300blk cases lubed with the bottle of lee lube.

I place my cases in a gallon zip loc bag and use my home made spray lube. Spray it in, shake the bag around a bit and start decaping abd sizing. Then to the tumbler.
