I currently have Lyman 46th & 49th reloading manuals. Is there anything that's not included that the Pistol & Revolver 3rd edition covers? I do a lot of revolver and lead bullet reloading, would I be wasting my money?

I looked at the LGS copy of the 49th edition. Handgun load data seemed to be the same as Third edition. The Pistol & Revolver goes into detail about casting bullets and Lyman's involvement with SASS. I didn't look to see if that was included in the full volume.

Hopefully, someone with more info will post. :)

The Pistol and Revolver handbook doesn’t include any more loads than the 49th edition. It has the same loads but no rifle data. You would be better off getting Lyman’s Cast bullet handbook.

Thanks sounds like it would have been a waste of my money.Does the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook include load data?

Yes it does, just for cast bullets of course but I'm pretty sure there's more data for that than in #49 which is why I have both.

I have both; I like both. The only advantage the smaller manual has is it's well ... it's smaller and easier to thumb through for my mildly arthritic hands. Other than that, I've found no data differences between the two for the cartridges I load.
