Lyman Tmag Kit

Got a chance to buy a lyman Tmag expert kit with lots of extras for 1/3 price of new. Kit is like new guy said he loaded twenty loads with it didn't like reloading. I have used rcbs only but just wanted a second press. My question is Lyman good stuff?

In my opinion, Lyman is equally as good as RCBS or Hornady. At 1/3 of new, I would jump on that with both feet!

Used loading gear in decent shape (let alone nearly new) usually goes for around 75% of the new price. If you accept his asking price, you need to take him out for a first-class night on the town.

I'm buying. Guy brought the stuff over still in the boxes. Looks like it's never been used. Had 1500 match small rifle primers and 500 68 gr vmax bullets lots off 223 brass. Somebody pinch me.

I have that exact kit and use it for all of my reloading purposes.


Only thing it didn't come with was a powder trickler and some loading blocks.

I bought this kit as my first reloading set up. I've been relatively happy. You need some loading blocks. I have not been a fan of the electronic scale that it comes with. I replaced it with an RCBS beam scale.

Mr Sheep is right. Lyman is top rated stuff and been at the forefront of reloading for about 100 years. They don't make a fancy progressive press, so they may be a bit in the shadows, but the stuff they do make is first rate.

My son has one of those and unlike a lot of the new presses, it can handle large rifle cartridges without problems. He really likes his.

I was just looking for a second press I never fall in to these kind of deals. Still looking thru boxes got a balance beam scale it's Lyman. Got powder trickler and auto primer Lyman. I may start crying!
