I hate to even consider it, but I may have to sell something and this is the only one I might part with. I bought this rifle in the late 80's or early 90's. It's a blue Sky import and is marked on the barrel. It's 1943 Inland. The stock is marked "AA" on the side and "P" under the pistolgrip area. I traded the M-2 stock the rifle came in to get a proper M-1 stock. I'd like to know what this rifle would bring if I did decide to sell it.

M1 carbine prices seem to vary wildly.
Around me, I'd say a fair private sale price on that would be in the $400-450 range.

Thanks Chipperman. I was hoping for a few more estimatates though. When I shot a $400 price to a local man here, he sneered like I was out of my mind. I figured he was just trying to steal it. Yesterday, I saw a Universal carbine in a major Gun shop in Huntsville for what I thought was a outrageous price ($475). Surely a G.I. is worth more than a Universal, but even I would wince at that price. LOL

Any other opinions??????????????

I am not an M1 Carbine expert, but I know where some are. Try going to www.battlerifles.com and posting in the M1 Carbine forum. There are some very knowledgable and helpful people over there. They should be able to help you.
