Just a FYI for you who love in hot climates.
I had fairly recent M-70 come in for a little work that required the action out of the stock. It was so tight it took two of us to break it loose. I asked the owner if it had been glassed and maybe no release agent used? Owner said it had never been out of the stock. When it finally popped loose, it was apparent that the factory "thermoplastic" bedding compound had melted (or re melted since it looks like hot glue gun stuff) and glued everything together. The rifle is what is termed a "pickup gun" around here. It rides behind the seat of a pickup day in and day out. Here in west Texas the interior of a pickup can reach 140 on a sunny day. I don't know what the melting point of the factory bedding is but it had been exceeded on this rifle.
