The ADL's are great guns.
I think you will find the gun has exceptional hunting accuracy.
But the average plastic stock and thin barrel does not lend itself well to true bench/precision shooting. And truthfully, that's not what the gun was made for anyways.
I LOVE my 700 ADL (270). It's my #1 deer rifle and if I can do my part it will shoot 1 1/2 inch groups with cheap factory Federal 130 gr soft points. I bet with handloads it would break an inch, but I have other guns for that. My ADL just needs to be a rock solid shooter under bad conditions, and it does that wonderfully.
