I was looking for a new EDC folder and browsed around for ideas/info. Brownie was most helpful and on his blade forum the MOD Trident caught my eye. I researched it some more and decided to get one. I stole one for $102.50!
It arrived today and I am most impressed with it's construction and ergonomics. The Trident came sharp enough to shave with no effort. The metal pocket clip looks strong. I can't wait to field test this beauty.

Well, I'm loking around for a good folder, and that just became one of my options! Where did you get it for $102?

First Impressions

Used it over the Holidays to open gifts, slice meat sticks, trim/fit gift assemblies.

I really like how this knife feels in my hands. Overall I'd say it's a tad bit smaller than knives of the same class, but that doesn't hurt it at all. The knife feels very secure and with the notches on top of the blade I was able to do some very fine work with it. Although used mostly to cut plastic, tape, paper, and some light wood (not a real heavy test), the knife still shaves hair like it did when new.

congrats to this !

the trident came into my mind some months ago, but I didnt purchase one. I will definately now ... great reminder TBO

thx !

Dude, is this your first post that isn't about an officer-involved shooting? :p

Does it say 'total absence of fear' on the box? I know Twoblink's did but I forgot which model he had....

MOD boxes

@ skunk:
on their boxes they say the following:

THE WORLDS MOST ADVANCED TACTICAL KNIVES ! (one side)

THE TOTAL ABSENCE OF FEAR. (other side)

and there is a 3rd side where it says
"Dieter CQD Mark I Limited Edition #.../2000" :D

THE TOTAL ABSENCE OF FEAR!

Yeah, right, I'm scared to death of knives!!! (That's why I have to spend so much time training with them)

I don't see Skunk's face of endorsement on it, so obviously it can't be the most tactical of knives.

I always wonder about knives that spend 99% of their budget on marketing, and 1% on the knife...

twoblink,
I don't think they do as their knives are made very accurate & reliable ... but veeeeery expensive compared to some others.
