M&P 10 Questions

Hi All - I did a search and didn't find what I was looking for. Can anyone tell me a couple of things:

1) Can you use BCM charging handles on the M&P 10, and different handguards, pmags and buttstocks?

2) How proprietary is the M&P 10? I ordered one and want to customize it.

I don't know about your first question, but as for the second, the main proprietary parts are the bolt, carrier, and receiver extension. This means that there aren't any drop-in aftermarket barrels for them. It takes regular AR-15 fire control parts, pistol grips, mil spec diameter stocks, mid-length handguards and gas tubes, and .750 gas blocks. It uses DPMS low height free float handguards, and DPMS type barrel nuts.
