Took it out for the first time today, put 200 rds through it. 100 rds of WWB 165gr and 100 rds of Wolf 180gr. No malfunctions at all and the trigger had noticeably smoothed out some by the end. Brass was thrown neatly over to my right about 4', nothing coming back into my face. The recoil was just enough to say the gun has recoil and have a slight muzzle flip. It was in no way uncomfortable. I still have not decided if I will use the S or M backstrap. Both feel pretty good.

I am not unhappy with the accuracy on the whole. The trigger, however, is massively stiff. This gun will be going in for a trigger job. It is definitely north of a 7lb pull.

In balance I am very happy with this purchase and after the trigger job I think it will be a real winner.

Here is a target at 10 yards, it was the first magazine through the gun. After I got more used to the trigger it tightened up some.

i have the s&w sigma 40 please let me know what you do to the trigger and what the end result is ive been thinking about doing a trigger job on mine but dont know what i should be looking for in a trigger job.

I fire the M&P .45 from S&W. The Trigger is just perfect for me. AS long I do the following.

Pull steadly until SURPISE!!! BOOM! keep pulling and hold the trigger at the back of it's travel until the gun settles back down after the recoil is finished.

Release and begin new trigger pull.

I happen to fire the big 230 grains which do very well.

I myself cannot stand triggers that fire when you breathe on them. But if those people want it that sensitive, have at it. Dont mind me.

Your target is very nice. You shoot exactly the same way I did once. A bit too little trigger finger.

Try to move your finger tip (If right hand on trigger) over a little more to the left but not so far as to put the first joint of your trigger finger onto it.

Good luck!

There is stiff and there is this. When I actually have to think "Jeebus, how much harder do I have to pull?" it's too heavy. The way low flyer was the first shot where I gave up on sight picture and just cranked on it until it went off.

The pull is actually stiffer than my Security Six on double action which is saying something. I should find somebody with a gauge and see what it really is... I've shot unmodified Glocks with lighter triggers than this!

I will be going for a 4.5lb trigger which is about what this is supposed to be from the factory but isn't.
