well folks i am in love! I never though there was a handgun that i would like better than my service model, but i have found it.
Ammo Used
wwb 165gr fmj
Hornaday xtp's 165gr
wwb 180gr jhp's
total rds fired 288rds.

1) all ammo was digested, and fired with out a problem, no malfunctions of any kind.
2) all magazines worked and functioned flawlesly, even the 12rd mags without the sleeves worked great.

Trigger pull
it is still new, and needs to be broken in, but still very impressed and reminds me of my service model.

Accuracy
this darn thing is on par with my service model. and i think with a little more practice it might meet or surpass it. especially when that trigger smooths out.
still yet, every rd landed right where i wanted it to, with no flyers not a one.

shootability
again i was amazed, this little thing has no where near the amount of recoil that i thought it would. the recoil was very managable, and never once was an issue for me, no snappiness to me!

even in rapid fire drills, double taps, controled pairs, anything i tried, it still was a joy and easy to shoot. i credit that to the superior design of the xd.

even with the jhp's, the 180gr wwb was a little hotter than the hornaday's i had but still great controlability, and accuracy, the winchester jhp being the most accurate out of everything fired.

conclusion
with 288rds fired of various types, from every postion conceacable, and all the cqb drills, it malfunctioned not a single time, and was highly accurate for the shorter barrel. I am impressed. small size light weight and short overall lenght make a great combination for a great ccw, that i will be proud to have by my side everyday. recoil was a hoot to shoot, and my new favorite semi-auto handgun ever!:)
btw i love the decal grips i put on there!

The XD40SC is a great choice! I really liked mine, but have since replaced it with an XD45 Compact, I just like to practice with and carry .45ACP.:D

The XD40SC should serve you well.
