Hello to all -
I'm looking at this sweet offer S&W has on their M&P line and am thinking of either the 9 (to go with my much-loved 9c) or the 45. Any M&P 45 owners want to share their experience with me?
Thanks.

I posted a more in-depth review last week (should be able to find it), but after one range visit I can say that I am very happy with my purchase.

It handles the .45 round very well, and with the $50 rebate / 2 free mag deal, it's very hard to pass up.

I bought one (M&P 45) in that unfortunate period where I got neither free mags nor a rebate *sigh*. But even without those perks, I am very pleased with the gun. It is accurate, fits my hand better than any non-revolver I've ever held, and has been utterly reliable for the 200 rounds I've put through it so far. The first magazine I put through it was about 8 inches low, so I fired it from a rest. Turns out the problem was me. I am mostly a revolver shooter, and for some reason, the M&P trigger was different enough that I was managing to shoot consistently low. Once I was aware of the problem however, I was able to adjust my shooting and found the M&P was dead on. I can heartily recommend the M&P 45

Yes, I have. I had to send my MP45 back for an out of spec barrel. I have also experienced several FTFs when using Blazer Brass 230 gr. When using WWB, the gun does fine. Hopefully I'm just experiencing growing pains and break-in and perhaps after a few more hundred rounds the gun will become more reliable.
