M&P9 - anyone like?

I'd take an M&P over a GLock any day. The ergonomics are way better, I like the slide serrations better. Glocks feel like a TV remote in my little hands.

I've been a BHP fan for a long time. I recently bought two M&Ps, 9mm and .40. I like them. Very accurate pistols.

I really like my Glock but I agree that the Ergonomics are a lot better. The MP comes up right on target, The Glock comes up just a little high. The MP allows a natural wrist postion.

I would be all over the M&P if it wasn't for the 2 piece trigger. There have been PD training reports reports, and even pictures on the net, of the trigger itself breaking. IIRC, San Antonio PD had some issues with trigger breakage when recruits pulled too hard . IMHO, the trigger is way to flimsy and due to this and thus don't consider the M&P a credilbe candidate for self defense.

Thats interesting. I couldn't find any of this information your talking about. Even the M&P Forum doesn't seem to have any cases of a trigger breaking. I don't find it flimsy and I can't imagine that you can break it my pulling it too hard. I just examined my personal M&P and I don't think I could pull the trigger hard enough to break it. I think you might be getting some hokey information. Personally, I've fired thousands of rounds through my M&P. I wouldn't worry about the trigger any more than any other weapon.

Ive seen some of those pictures. Cracks right at the pivot pin.

It didnt stop me from buying it though. It seems to be pretty isolated cases.
