the m&p9c will be my next gun. I rented all the 9mm guns at the range and i'm most accurate w/the M&P9c. (Glock19 was #2, M&P9 was #3)

80% range fun, 20% CCW when i goto areas i'm not familiar with.

I've been waiting for the M&P9c to be at $439 + FFL again and am getting impatient.

Then i saw the FNP9 for $430 + FFL. I've never fired the FNP9 but thats a good price for it.

Before i buy w/o trying, i figure i'd ask how does it compare to the M&P9c, Glock19 and M&P9?

It points more naturally for me than the Glock. The M&P with the smallest backstrap points almost as well, in my hand. I have an FNP-9 with factory night sights as my nightstand gun, it's been 100% reliable and it's comfortable to shoot at the range. Very high quality for the money.

It has a DA/SA trigger, which is harder to master than the "short stroke DAO" (as I like to call them) triggers of the others. You may find yourself less accurate with it, at least until you can get some practice in.

FNP-9 hands down! Much better trigger , great ergonomics, also I believe it comes with 3 mags.

I fired the M&P a few days ago didn't really like it at all.

Glocks ergonomics is horrid in my hand, will never own one.

It would be ideal to try everything first but I bought my first M&P without firing one and now have 3. I've done the same with a number of others as well. Every firearm has a personality. The key is you adapting to what works or adapting what works to you. All three choices are reliable and if you've found one you honestly like you're ahead of the curve having fired it. The initial price is peanuts compared to the amount you should spend on ammo over the years enjoying it.

I didn't care for the M&P's trigger or grips so I did something about it. I now have 3 pistols that are reliable AND fit me.

I prefer the G triggers and aftermarket support.

M&P should get an Apex sear kit.

Love FnP as well, but sold it.

Kept my M&P 9 Pro, sold all my c's, and have kept all but one of my Glocks.

It kind of depends on your handsize and grip fitment for you. However, all these pistols are near the top notch and can easily be customized to a high degree of personal preference-your better money goes to training.

Love my FNP9. Just got back from the range yesterday and it was the most comfortable gun I have shot, maybe its just me though. I like having a DA/SA trigger for CC. Although I did get my hands on the M&P9c at the shop and it did feel good. I have to go back and rent it to really get the feel for it but I did very much like it.

I personally don't like how the FN fits in my hand so I would wait out for the S&W which is a great gun. Right now I prefer Glocks but would not hesitate to pick-up a M&P for a great price.
