M14 in Iraq video

I am just wondering if anyone knows what kind of scope this is:

I understand that that is a plain-Jane M14 with an improvised cheekrest and the perpetually lackluster Springfield Armory, Inc. scope mount. I am just not sure what kind of scope that is.

Yep, looks like a Leupold Mark 4 LR/T with M3 knobs and an illuminated reticle.

That video is really eirie for us at home tonite. The soldier behind the rifle looks alot like our son who is currently in Kirkut and is issued a M14 but a recent picture has him with a M14 that has a syn stock on it with all the bells and whistles. Is there a way to know when the video was taken. It is hard to say for certain as we do not see him in full battle dress often. and the quality of the video. Even his mother is sayinh HS to the video.

that video looks like it was taken during the winter months, probably sometime between late november and early april, the soldier with the M14 is wearing the ninja suit top, really lightweight polypro basically, which makes it cold out, hence the winter months. Type of scope, i have no idea at all, I'm too buzzed at the moment to pick up detailes like that. Location, could be anywhere in the sandbox really.
