This pistol was a bring back from my great uncle. The story in the family is that he was an MP and took this off of someone from Dachau. It is chambered in the original 7.65 parabellum and I don't think it has been rearsenaled. Is there any way I can tell if it has been rearsenaled? The barrel looks great, but it does have some spots where the finish is bare. It has a 1922 flap holster too. I already know it is a Bugarian, I am just trying to find out what grade it is. All the numbers match-even the barrel.

The "rearsenaled" Lugers I have seen had the small parts blued with the rest of the gun, losing the straw finish. According to John Walter, an overhauled Bulgarian would likely have been rebarrelled to 9mm. I think you have a straight original gun. Old Model Bulgarians are darned scarce. There is a Luger board that might could say more.
