Does anyone know a good slip on recoil pad that would fit a Yugo M48A? After 50rounds of 7.62X54R outta my M38, I got a pretty good flinch going, and the 8mm is a stouter round. I would rather not get one of those shoulder pads you wear. No..there will be none of that getting used to it. My philosophy is "no pain.....well great, no pain."

TIA. :D

Erm, what? M38/44s always seemed to kick harder than my M48A. Maybe that muzzle blast just makes it seem harder.

Anyways, I have a Pachmayr slip-on that fits my M48A(Though it resides on an M44) but I cannot remember what the model name/number is and it's not on that pad.

I have the Medium size pachmayer on my 48 right now, but it was a stretch and a struggle. The large would be better. For me the added length to the stock makes it much easier to shoot not to mention the softened recoil feel.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll take a look at what pachmayr has to offer.

I've tried every shoulder position. In the end i might just attach wheels to my M38, put a string on the trigger and make it towed artillery. :p
