Hi guys- I want a slip on recoil pad for a M38 Mosin Nagant does anyone know what size fits? I'd do a screw on one too, but again recommendations are needed.

also- does anyone know if a williams apperature for an SKS can be retrofitted to a Mosin? its either that or I'm going to try to remove the rear sight assembly and use the little mount underneath for a scout mount

I'm a BIG fan of MN guns. I do some thing different,as I might be shooting
any of the dozen + that I own.
Have a sweatshirt that has velcro in it,and one of the wifes old pot holders
with velcro on it. I just slip it under the shirt and shoot all day.
Works great with the Mausers as well.

What part of "upstate" NY??

I have a large but it is very sloppy, I would say a medium. If you look at the some of the pads on the Brownells site they will list dimensions. Bill

The small Pachmayr slip-on recoil pad works well on my M39, M44, and M91/30. I would bet money it will work on the M38.

For sights the Mojo sights are supposed to be excellent. I just ordered a $35 type 53 from Omega and if it's a decent shooter I wouldn't mind trying some, except for the sights cost twice what I paid for the rifle:D
