He's a felon, and

Who are is victims? As I understand it, he's a causality of the war on drugs.

I don't have much use for the hip-hop lifestyle's glorification of violence -- playing channel roulette, there was a thing on VH1 about Eminem's "feud" with Moby and some fat black chick said something like "sure he disses Moby, instead of (some black rapper I don't remember) 'cause he don't want to get shot!" But unless he's actually done harm and has had a person file a complaint against him other than a cop who found something in his car ( the 4th Amendment is dead) I don't think its right for him to be a felon.

Can I ask why you specifically chose BLACK civil rights leaders? People who fight for the rights of BLACK people?

His point wasn't that he was enlisting them based only on their color but rather because they jump to defend the civil rights they think are ok all the time for the black community. You can hardly charge a black person in this country with a crime without those guys jumping to that individual's defence as they throw the race card down. That is a little bit of hyperbole, but the underling statement is still true. Those guys are black leaders and they are very active in fighting for black civil rights. TI is black and the 2A is a right, so let's see them fight for TI and the 2A like they have been fighting to allow felons to vote.

I hope you're kidding, being a rapper isnt exactly a lofty goal.

Really, to whom do you refer with that statement? Being rich and famous isn't a lofty goal? Do you have the talent to be a suceessful rapper and make platinum albums? Somehow I doubt it because otherwise you would be. Rapping and being a pro athlete aren't simple things to do. Both take a lot of dedication to acheive. Even if you can't see that, it is still true regardless.

I'd be inclined to believe that "T.I" has all this money tied up in Escalades with 22" rims, gold teeth, and flashy houses with tons of plasma tv's, and new basketball shoes for himself and his homeboys.

Tucumseh, I think that was the stereotypical racist remark you were actually looking for. Pretty presumptous since you don't even know TI's situation. Maybe he is like a lot of newly rich and he might have hired someone else to take care of his finances so he can spend his money on the things that make him happy. Maybe the proceeds of his investments bought him his gold teeth and big spinning wheels. After all, that is what all young black me aspire to, right?

You find it admirable to make a career of advocating foul language, sexism, violence, and any number of illegal activities? And how about the way hip-hop culture devalues education?

I think that was the stereotypical racist remark

Have you seen one of TI's very own music videos?

Prime example, here's a TI video, watch it for yourself:

Its not stereotyping if its accurate of the given situation. If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck...

What is funny that the definition of machine gun in Georgia is any firearm that fires six or more shots with a single trigger pull

And yes they went after him because he is African-American.
