All that time in a milling machine and he couldn't take a moment with an end mill to knock off the "Made in China" marking on the frame? It'll be a cold day in hell before any .45 I carry has that written on it.
Otherwise, nice work. Use one of the Phillipino 1911's and you would have something. The craftsmanship looks good.
Exactly what I was thinking. Somehow this gun seems to exude beauty and quality but none of it is frilly. The beauty comes from the quality of the work. Really impressive.
I had a Norinco done by George Stringer, who participated here many years ago. Nice gun. None of the external changes shown above, but a lot of tuning and refining, internally.
Very nice. I particularly like the fish-scale on the slide-top, and front and backstraps. Sights are good and functional too. The recoil spring plug and bushing look great too.
I don't personally care for the grips (I just like checkered wood on a 1911) but still overall a good looking piece without getting gaudy.
