Does anyone know how to determine the manufacture date of pistol magazines?

I have the opportunity to buy a used Taurus PT111 9mm with two 12 round magazines. However, I live in NYS where the "Assault Weapons Ban" never sunset. They are not marked except for:

"PT111PRO CAL.9mm - MADE IN BRAZIL"

on the side of the magazine. I have been unable to locate any other markings or information regarding date of manufacture of these magazines.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

I can't find anything definite, but i would have a hard time believing the PT111 Pro was out before '95.

PT-111PRO is a post ban gun, hence no pre-ban mags for it. The original PT-111 10 round mags do not fit the PRO model and the 12-round PT-111PRO mags will not fit the older PT-111.

Just a clarification, the pistol is marked PT 111 the magazines are marked PT 111 Pro.

When did Taurus change the PT 111 to the PT 111 Pro?

Thank you.

Millenium Pro Series

These are pretty recent.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that anything called "Millenium" [whatever] is probably made after 1999.

ROFLMAO

Not to mention, if it were me, which it wouldn't be ::ahem:: I would be using a newbie id from a public library, in the event I had to ask such questions... anything on the Internet is a matter of permanent public record after all, and can be traced. I'm just sayin'

Clarification on my clarification.

The Pistol is marked Millennium Pro and the Magazines are marked PT111PRO (I didn't see the other side of the slide the first time).

I am not hopeful that these magazines are NYS legal and if I decide to purchase this pistol I will simply sell the magazines out of state (a state where they are legal) and purchase aftermarket 10-round magazines.

Funny thing, PT111 10-round magazines go for about $20, PT111PRO 10-round magazines go for about $40.

However, I live in NYS where the "Assault Weapons Ban" never sunset.
I swear this line always sounds like something out of the Twilight Zone.

Prince Yamato,

Welcome to New York State. You don't even want to think about New York City.
