For the iron sight proponents, several of mine will always remain so.
This question is for semi auto battle rifles (.223 and such included). This has nothing to do with red dots magnified or not.

I'm just curious about what the better rifles can merit for scope magnification.
What are the better riflemen shooting for long range not counting bolt actions?
Not counting the effect of the bullets at the end of a long trajectory, can a long distance "pattern" be kept and aided by a higher magnification? I realize the compromises of high magnification, and the effects of using less than match ammo.

What are you able to group with what battle rifle, what scope, at what range, and with what ammo?
