Check the big box sporting goods stores in the fly tying section, I bought a head set that has lenses that flip up and down and also saw one like you want.

I have a harborfreight glass mounted to the bench has the cicular flourescent bulb, it has served me well for over 10 years.

Check your local thrift stores. I bought a big one w/ circular fluorescent tube at Goodwill for $7. And the money goes to a good cause.

It's well worth the money to buy a good one. If you're buying in person, check the mounting "hardware"; mine was plastic and broke not long after I bought it. I drilled a hole in my work bench to stick the stub in which worked OK, but it was a bit wobbly as I didn't have the proper bit to drill a tapered hole to match the stub.

I gave mine away when I moved into an apartment. Now that I'm in a house again with a small workshop, I guess I need to find another one. If you find a nice one at a decent price, please post about it.

I have one I I never use that I would give you if you lived locally.

In real life, they aren't very useful, as they are never in the right place to see what you need to see.

Best results for me in gunsmith work, etc is an Optivisor you wear on your head.
Then a strong adjustable light you can put right on the work.

The Optivisor keeps the light out of your eyes, and the magnification looks right where you need to look at any point in time.

The Optivisor looks like a good solution. I've been finding myself in more and more situations where I not only need some light on what I'm working on, but some magnification as well. Might have to get one.
