Magnum Caps ?

Picked up 2 packs of CCI Percussion caps a couple of days ago and just noticed that it says NO. 11 MAGNUM. I didn't notice that when I bought them, thought I had picked up regular ones....

Can I use them in a 1851 Navy Steel Frame Revolver ? I'm new to this and must honestly say, that I didn't even know that there were Magnum caps out there.

Use those #11 Mags........won't hurt a thing. I use the CCI mags in both my rifle & my brass-framed pistol and there are no problems with it.

Really - about the only different I can tell between the #11s & #11Mags is that the mags have a little more compound in them...............so all you're really getting is more reliable ignition, not a hotter ignition.
