Right-side front of trigger guard relieved so I can easily move my trigger-finger from a safe position on the frame to the trigger easily.

I left the matte finish on the top-strap of course.

I shot a Taurus (.38 spl) once. It was dismal. It looked like a nice S&W clone, but, it shot & felt like crap.Taurus model 415 .41 Magnum.
Having said that......I'd pay some serious money to have a Taurus M415 .41 magnum. The closest I've been able to come is the 2.75" S&W M69 in .44magnum.
Too large for my tastes & I'm not a fan of CA - plus - there isn't anywhere local I can go to handle one before I buy it.Charter has a .41 snubbie that's probably easier to find than the Taurus.
Nice work.
The grips look like Mexican-Cowboy made by a Moroccan craftsman. They are really stunning.
Have you given any thought to addressing its Frankestein-chin barrel lug to complement the other customizations?
Todd.
There used to be someone on ebay from Thailand that made grips for some guns you couldn't find elsewhere. I haven't look in a year or two to see if he is still around. Some said they were very close and with a little work they would fit better. The wood was usually pretty nice.Very nice Michael. First I'm happy to se another .41mag fan like myself. I also have the 415 and really like the gun. I have done a lot of work on the action and trigger since it is my concealed carry gun and it is as smooth as any other revolver I own. I also minimally dehorned the whole gun for carry. Though I love the way the factory grips help absorb the thump when gun goes off, I have always wanted a nice set of wood grips for it. I have yet to find anyone who makes any or even a custom grip maker that could make one for me. I don't know who made those grips on your gun but they are a real work of art. With grips like that I would want to open carry (see Bar-B-Que Gun here in Texas) instead of concealed carry like I currently do.
