Magpul MBUS training and simulation

I got a pair of Magpul MBUS flip sights for dirt cheap. Turns out they are the training and simulation sights for Airsoft or paintball.

Checking the web, others have complained about the front sight post. It's too short for rifle use, and it's made of plastic.

I have a RRA front sight kit (new post, spring, plunger) and it should work. The rest of the sights feel like a quality piece, so if I were to replace the plastic post with the new one from the Rock River replacement kit, would that be durable enough?

Depends what you do with it.

For a fighting gun, defense gun whatever, I would dump the sight. BUT for a range gun, I d probably use it since I am cheap lol.

Try it and see what happens if it is a range gun. You may find it works just fine and save a few bucks lol.
