Mak 90 Straight receiver

I recently purchased a mak 90 straight receiver ak47 variant. I paid $400 for it. How much is this gun worth? Did I overpay? Is this a common ak47 variant?

$400 is a good deal. Common? We (USA) have had an import ban on chinese small arms for awhile now, so while not rare, they havent been coming in for a bit theyre getting less common. Worth is impossible without pics. And spamming in threads is kinda frowned upon here. Hope this helped, good luck!

Dunno about the price... prices have been falling lately. But Norinco makes good solid AK's, you've done fine as far as the gun goes.

That's a really good deal. I'm told that chinese AKs are some of the best you can buy. Then again, i've never heard of problems with any AK that had a chrome-lined barrel and was built properly.

Anyway, they're not rare, but they will eventually be rare if the import ban isn't lifted (hint hint, it won't. It will get resistance from gun controllers AND gun manufacturers) because sometimes they break, and sometimes they're seized by police. Either way, that's one less gun in circulation and no new gun to replace it.
