Here's my MM Rem870. Complete with:

Ported barrel (not Vang, but works very well nonetheless)
Sage tritium ghostring sights (I'd do MMC or Wilson Combat now)
Surefire 618f
WC 1 shell extension
Vang Comp bighead safety
Giles sling
Speedfeed stock
Sidesaddle

Another vote for the 870 Turkey. I got mine on sale at Bi Mart...$20.00 off the price plus the current $30.00 rebate from Remington.

I have a Marine Magnum 870 that I bought it in 1994 just before the AWB. I've carried it on duty at two different department and never had a problem with it. The nickel finish make it a lot easier to clean. The only thing I've done is I put a Speed Feed Stock on it. The OME stock was pretty cheesey.

Line Rider,

Isn't Green Bow Alabama where Forrest Gump Was from? Do you have a house like the one that was in the movie in the area?

I was in Savanna Georgia once and they have a brass plack on the bench where the scene was filmed waiting for a bus.

Sorry back on topic now.

i own a MM...the only crappy part is the J-lock in the safety...

i believe older models and the newest production models don't come with them...i just had the misfortune of buying my MM when they came with them...

not one single problem to date...very durable finish...the bolt is a very wear-prone part in any gun...the bolt in the MM is also nickel plated...the nickel plating is only showing minimal signs of wear in my MM...

i added a vang comp stainless follower and added a slip on recoil pad...no sling, no light, no side saddles....i like my shotty bone stock...6+1 capacity should take care of business in a HD situation...

however, for my HD shotty, i have switched over to a hammer double made by TTN...i just don't trust a shotgun with staked in shell latches...
