Marlin 336 gun smith

I want to give my 336 a makeover. Trigger, barrel crown, action smooth out, etc.
Looking for pros and cons if you have worked with anyone. Ranger Point Precision is who came up a google-fu search.

Good smiths are scarce as hens teeth & expensive to boot (not to mention waiting time). If it were me I would clean it, oil it & cycle the action until it smooths out. Much of the resistance you feel is from the hammer & hammer spring.
