Marlin 39A 22 cal. serial # starting with TT (can't locate in references)

Have an older Marlin 39A (22 rimfire) with serial number TT8-- located on the bottom tang where it meets the lever. I have been unable to date this serial # using online references. I can find references for a single T but not the double TT. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

My book stops at 1965 with the prefix of AA, so, a prefix of TT would be 1982. The O and Q were not used as prefix's
